The French Education Charitable Trust (FECT) was a specific charitable body founded in 2008 with the mission to solve the shortage of secondary school places for French education in London. It successfully raised funds and acquired sites to launch two major new schools, relieving pressure on the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle. Having successfully fulfilled its purpose of establishing these institutions, the central trust itself was wound down (dissolved in 2019), and the two schools now operate as independent charitable trusts, though they share a common heritage and are supported by the same scholarship foundation.
