Situated in the Kemptown area of Brighton, East Sussex, Brighton College is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 3 to 18. Its campus combines historic Gothic Revival buildings with contemporary architecture, including the award-winning School of Science and Sport. Brighton College operates an academically selective admissions policy for its primary entry stages. For entry at 11+ (Year 7), prospective pupils participate in an assessment day in Year 6, where they are tested in English, Mathematics, and both verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Candidates also attend an interview and activities session. The 13+ (Year 9) admission process starts in Year 6 with the ISEB Common Pre-Test, and successful applicants are invited to an Orientation Day featuring further written examinations in English and Mathematics, along with interviews and collaborative tasks.
