Indeparent’s long-term vision is to become the most trusted and valuable online resource for parents, teachers, and schools in the independent school sector.

We’re currently in Closed Beta, which means the experience is intentionally limited while we test the foundations with a small group of early users. But the platform you see today is only the beginning. Here’s a glimpse of where we’re heading.

A richer, more transparent picture of each school

We want every school page to give families a clear, balanced, and meaningful understanding of what life there is really like.

Today, you can already see:

• The Indeparent Score (based on industry-standard NPS)

• Star ratings across areas like academics, culture, and SEND support

• AI-generated summaries of parent feedback

Soon, you’ll also be able to:

• View anonymised raw reviews directly

• Explore feedback by parent segment

• Track how sentiment changes over time

• Ask natural-language questions (“What are parents saying about food?”)

Everything is designed to help parents see the full picture without overwhelm.

Deeper school profiles maintained by the schools themselves

Today’s school pages include core information, facilities, open days, and fee trends.

What’s coming next:

• Verified staff and leadership profiles

• Rich image and video galleries

• Social and news updates

• Boarding fees and additional costs

• Policy documents and other helpful information

• The ability for schools to “claim” their listing and keep details up to date

This will make Indeparent a true hub for clear, current school information.

Smarter school discovery

At the moment, you can search quickly from the homepage and filter schools by their attributes on “Find a School”.

Soon, you will be able to:

• Search by drive time to your home location

• Compare schools side-by-side

• Get personalised recommendations based on your profile and child’s needs

• Save favourites and follow schools you care about

Choosing a school should feel informed, not overwhelming. We’re building towards that.

A safer, more constructive feedback ecosystem

Schools want insight; parents want to be heard. We’re creating a space where both can connect safely and constructively.

Planned features include:

• Verified teacher profiles

• Anonymous, secure feedback channels between parents and schools

• Enhanced school listings for verified representatives

This strengthens relationships while keeping parents safe and anonymous where appropriate.

Supporting the wider education community

Indeparent will expand beyond schools to support all the people who contribute to a child’s education.

Coming in future beta phases:

• A tutor directory with credentials and DBS information

• Tutor reviews and personalised recommendations

• A blog featuring voices from across the education sector

• A forum for open discussion and questions
