  1. Definitions and interpretations

    1. See Terms of Service for definitions and interpretations.

  2. Acceptable Use Policy

    1. Purpose and Scope: This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the content standards and behavioural rules that apply when you upload content, interact with our site, or contact other users. By using Indeparent, you agree to comply with this Policy. Breach of this Policy may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your account and the removal of your content.

    2. Content Standards: You must not post any content that:

      1. Is Unlawful: Breaches any applicable law (including defamation, harassment, and copyright laws).

      2. Identifies Children: Identifies a minor by name, image, or description in any publicly visible area of the Service (e.g., reviews or comments). This does not apply to data you voluntarily enter into your private Child Profile.

      3. Safeguarding Risks: Contains allegations of criminal activity or immediate safeguarding concerns. These must be reported to the police, not posted here.

  3. Integrity of Reviews: To maintain the trust of the community, you must not:

    1. Manipulate the System: Create multiple accounts to post multiple reviews for the same school or bypass our "one review per school" limit.

    2. Misrepresent Identity: Pose as a parent if you are a staff member, student, or agent of the school. You must be transparent about your relationship with the institution.

    3. Post Incentivised Reviews: Accept payment, discounts, or benefits in exchange for a review.

    4. Review Competitors: Post reviews of a competitor school if you are a School Representative, solely to lower their score.

  4. Technical Misuse

    1. You must not:

      1. Scrape Data: Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to extract School Data or user reviews.

      2. Reverse Engineer: Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer the Service's software, source code, or recommendation algorithms.
