As a registered charity, it safeguards the integrity of the Forest School ethos by setting standards for training and endorsing qualifications. The FSA supports a network of practitioners and provides a publicly accessible map of recognized providers. Its primary aim is to ensure learners of all ages have access to high-quality, learner-centred Forest School experiences in their local natural environments, fostering resilience, confidence, and independence.

Edgeborough is a co-educational independent Prep School for pupils aged 2-13, situated in Farnham, Surrey. The school is set within 50 acres of the Surrey Hills, offering spacious grounds and facilities including a floodlit astroturf pitch, theatre, and woodland areas for Forest School. Founded in 1906, it became co-educational in 1992 and offers day and weekly boarding.
