NASEN is a charitable membership organisation and the UK's leading professional body dedicated to supporting those working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Formed in 1992, it provides a crucial link between policy-makers and practitioners across mainstream and independent sectors. The association offers professional development, accredited training, and evidence-informed resources, while hosting the 'Whole School SEND' consortium. Governed by a Board of Trustees, NASEN aims to improve educational outcomes and ensure inclusive practice is embedded throughout the UK's early years, school, and post-16 settings.
