Private Sixth Form Schools in Central London

Central London possesses an extraordinary educational heritage, historically serving as the birthplace of the modern independent tutorial college. The area pioneered this highly specialised pre-university model in the early twentieth century, with historic establishments such as Davies, Laing and Dick (now DLD College) and Westminster Tutors founded in the 1930s specifically to prepare students for rigorous Oxbridge entrance examinations. Today, Central London boasts the highest concentration of standalone independent sixth form colleges in the UK. You will find a remarkable diversity of learning environments across the capital, ranging from the highly prestigious Westminster School to the more boutique Ashbourne College. Benefiting from their prime metropolitan locations, these establishments frequently offer university-style teaching methodologies, state-of-the-art facilities and highly individualised academic pathways designed to foster independent learning. Drawing ambitious students from across the globe who value rigorous academic preparation, expert career guidance and robust pastoral support, private sixth forms in Central London provide an outstanding and forward-thinking environment to complete your educational journey.
